My Gain is your… Gain?

Not my gain exactly. C-Dubs gain. He's 14 months, just under 33lbs and close to 3 feet tall. “They” say you are half of your adult height when you are 3 years old. How tall is this kid gunna be when he is an adult?! He's not a fat baby. He doesn’t have a single one of those super cute rolls on his belly, ankles, or wrists even. Nothing. Not a single one. He's just… Big.

Bottom line- some things just do not fit him. Its not even worth trying. So my plan is to sucker you all in with our common love for fluff! You cant deny it. You have a problem. You enjoy changing diapers. If there was a 12 step program for kicking the habit, chances are more than one of your friends or family would have slipped you the meeting times and told you that you should consider getting help! But you wouldn’t. You're in denial and the thought of potty training actually makes you sad. Its okay. There is plenty of us out there that consider stuffing clean pocket diapers our Mommy Zen moment, too.

Now… onto the good stuff!

When we reach 100 Facebook fans I will be giving away these:
KushiesWB
2 gender neutral size large Kushies wet bags.

My “gateway drug” into cloth diapers was the gDiaper. They're super easy to use and more importantly they're available where we all usually shop anyhow. One of the first places people go when finding out they're expecting is Babies R Us. Once I fell in love with using those I started doing some online research. Holy Overwhelming!!! There is approximately 8892509938457 different websites, styles, fits, colors, patterns, washing routines, washing detergents, blahblahblah on using cloth. It can be as easy or as complicated as you want it to be. In the last 2mns our lil guy has pretty much outgrown his g’s. We cant wait until they release an XL size. (Spring 2011 from what I gather).

When we reach 150 Facebook fans I will be giving away one of these:
galatic bluegooseberrygrubby knees grey
1 gDiaper including liner. Size Large. You pick the color.

When we reach 200 Facebook fans I will be giving away:
BG
1 bumgenius 4.0 Hook & Loop One Size Cloth Diaper Artist Series - Eiffel Tower

And Finally…

When we reach 300 Facebook fans I will be giving away:
FB watermelon

Fuzzi Bunz One Size Cloth Diaper in Watermelon

A Mental Health Day

Today has been a really negative day. It doesn't help that with the wind chill it feels like is negative five outside. So just like yesterday, today is going to be mostly wordless too. Because Im in a really bad mood right now and posts should contain more than four letter explicatives.

Heres a picture of our rotten dog.

She does really dumb things sometimes. Like eating lots of these:

They're stored in a pail in the laundry room behind a locked gate that she has to hop. She only has time to do these things when I'm in the shower, shoveling, getting the garbage cans before they blow 6 blocks away... Why?! Seriously... WHY is it necessary to demolish the fluff? Ugh. Damn dog.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

This is the boy that helps make school lunches.

This is the bag of random napkins I keep in the cabinet.

This is the lunch box that was brought home yesterday...

... by this boy who never remembers to wipe his face.

Today I'm really thankful these were left unused!

Military Monday Blog Hop

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to all of the followers I acquired today from the Military Monday Blog Hop. I really appreciate the comments and kind words that have been left! I had stumbled upon Marine Parents blog last week and was hooked. I'm not a Military Spouse but my Sig-O is not here with me. 550 miles does not compare to the husband/wife that is serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc but the pain of not having him with me is still very real for myself and my children. These fellow bloggers understand that and have welcomed me into their cozy little corner of the internet with open arms. I truly appreciate it.

Before I was a Mom...

I wasnt able to do this to anyone AND get a away with it!

A Thought

I wholeheartedly enjoy writing. It is a skill that improves with practice, and, although I may never achieve that perfect rhythm and rhyme, it is good that I am free to express myself, and, indeed, it is a necessity in keeping a free society free. It is therapeutic and helps gets one’s thoughts together. This is my place to do that. I am free to say what I want, when I want, about whatever I am thinking at that moment. If this is a problem for you, click the X in the corner and have a nice day.
