This space has intentionally been left blank.

I've been very busy "mommy-ing" the last week or so. Holidays, kids, Mike being home... not to much idle time to sit down and put random thoughts into any type of discernible order. I've also purposefully avoided logging in for the fear that I would call someone out on their bullshit. I'm better than that. So I won't.

I'm not going to do a 2010 year in review type post. I've been piecing together parts of the last 365 days of my life and while they certainly are not bad, some even noteworthy, I don't want a recap. It was a year. Things good and bad happened. I'm over it.

I have decided to make a few changes for 2011. They're not resolutions. I don't "do" resolutions. Why would I set myself up for failure?

The only change I'm going to share at this moment is the following quote. I like it. It speaks to me. As horribly hokey as that sounds.

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”    -The Buddha, Siddhārtha Gautama

Don't share this way of thinking with my children, please. They already question my authority and teachings.
