Applied Labels Review

I put off writing this review as long as I possibly could. I wanted to be in full review mode and have my son run these labels through the ringer. I can say in all honesty that I am really impressed.

I received a set of Applied Labels with my middle sons name on them. He picked out the little skull icon. Must be a boy thing! I told him he could label the things that he would be really sad if he lost. His karate water bottles, nintendo DS,  school folder, karate sparring pads,  favorite green hoodie and little brother all got labeled! We also used the blank laundry label to write on and cover with the clear label to mark the insides of the babies sneakers. They're currently the only sneakers he owns that fit properly so they were put to the test everyday for almost 3 weeks.

The labels in the little mans shoes have not slipped around, started to peel, collected sock fuzz... Nothing! I would have expected at least a little wear around the edges. But they look as good as new after 3 weeks of wear. Even better is we instantly knew that those sneakers were his at a recent play date!

When they were first put on.

After weeks of use

The label on the school folder has shown no sign of wear either. In and out of the backpack, locker, teachers tray, thrown on the back of my truck and stepped on... Not one corner is lifting or peeling off. (I would love to take a picture but it has been at school and hasnt come back in a few days!)

The dishwasher safe labels show no sign of wear after at least 10 washes.

Before at least 10 runs though the dishwasher

After at least 10 runs through the dishwasher

The nintendo DS label is in great shape too. This is used for about 30 minutes a day. While I wouldn't expect that it would have to stand up to much abuse, its nice that my son is able to label something as specifically his. It can be hard being in the middle of 2 other boys.

The clothing tag label was the only one that I'm not totally in love with. The tag on the article of clothing has to be sandwiched in between the name tag and a blank backing sticker. It held up well after 3 washes but my son is sensitive to tags and things rubbing on him so he ripped it off. If it is used on clothing that has a tag on the side seam it would probably be better for kids who are sensitive to things like that. Just something to keep in mind.

All in all- I really like the labels that are made by Applied Labels. I have used another brand on my youngest sons bottles, sippy cups, small toys that we take to play group etc and they have not held up as well in the dishwasher. I will be replacing those labels with the ones from applied labels for sure.
The prices are reasonable and you can receive updates from the company on Twitter and Facebook about any sales they might be running. They make donations to charity too. That's always a bonus in my book!

I would highly recommend this company. The product is great. The customer service was friendly and all emails were answered in a timely manner. I have no complaints what so ever. You should really consider Applied Labels for all of your labeling needs.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Thanks so much for the review! We really appreciate your time and thoughtfulness. You're right. They are great for jackets and stuffed animals and things that generally do not come in direct contact with skin. No ironing or sewing. Our new Iron-ons are super, super comfy for items that touch the skin. Certified comfy enough for even baby! Thanks again for the great review!

Sincerely,
The AppliedLabels.com Team
